Octopus Garden specializes in The Beatles catalog. they are cutting their teeth on the local scene, considered a “must-see” for a few reasons:
The lineup: The band is a bit of a local “supergroup,” featuring seasoned musicians like Jay Fruet, Bob Balawender, Mark Parsons, Dan Hamilton, Jim Stankowitz and Wayne Tremblay. Because they’ve been playing in various projects for years, they are technically very tight.
They are not a “look-alike” tribute band.
instead, they focus on a “faithful and spirited“ recreation of the music. Wherever they perform, they usually turn the room into a massive sing- along.
While their name derived from the Ringo track, Octopus’s Garden, they cover a full range of The Beatles career- from early ”MopTop” era to the complex Abbey Road and Let It Be arrangements.
If you enjoy The Beatles and a high energy, community focused atmosphere, they are widely considered one of the best Beatles act in Western Massachusetts. They have a loyal following throughout Berkshire County, so the crowd is usually pretty electric.
